BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE ANNOUNCE NEW LIVE DATES

Much like the subject of our previous post regarding Queens of the Stone Age, Broken
Social Scene have been busy recently working on new material in the studio and are
now announcing some live dates for later this year. The band have already announced
a European tour that will kick-off in Manchester on May 23rd and it will see some high
profile gigs at London’s 02 Brixton Academy, as well as the famed Primavera Sound in
Barcelona. Now word comes that the Toronto collective have a few Canadian dates to
add to the itinerary. The Scenesters have been named as headliners to the festival
nearest and dearest to their hearts and the one that they helped to conceive, Toronto’s
fifth annual Field Trip. Appearing along side part-time member Feist as well as the
French pop kings Phoenix, Kevin Drew and company will top the bill on June 3rd, while
Phoenix will cap things off on Sunday June 4th.
