MUSIC REVIEWS FROM THE HEART OF TORONTO

WORD SLIPS THAT QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE WILL HAVE A NEW RECORD OUT THIS YEAR

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Mastodon’s Troy Sanders let slip that Queens of the
Stone Age will have a new record out at some point this year. Sanders, who was
promoting his new project Gone is Gone at the time, (which features QOTSA’s Troy Van
Leeuwen and At The Drive-In’s Tony Hajjar) let the news slip inadverdantly when he
spoke about how all the band members had albums coming out this year. Now, we
already knew that Mastodon and At The Drive-In were coming out with new albums, but
it’s a revelation that QOTSA would have new music coming out this year. Queens
frontman Josh Homme had previously spoken vaguely about the band getting back into
the studio without giving any real concrete plans or dates. Stay tuned...cVc has got ya
covered!
