THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM AND TOUR

Scottish post-punk legends, The Jesus and Mary Chain have announced their first new
album in nineteen years. The album, entitled Damage and Joy, will drop March 24 via
ADA/Warner Music and it finds the Brothers Reid working with producer Youth (Martin
Glover of Killing Joke), who also contributed bass duties for the record. The Mary
Chain’s last record, Munki, came out in 1998 via Sub Pop and it would act as the last
hurrah before William and Jim Reid (long before the brawling Gallagher brothers, there
was the Reid brothers!) put the band on ice until Coachella came calling in 2007. In
addition to the new record, the band have also announced a string of live appearances
in the U.K.next spring with probably many more international dates to come...stay
tuned!
